- We collect what you give us to quote and place insurance — and we use it for that.
- We share it with insurance companies only to get you quotes and coverage you ask for, and with vendors that help us run the agency.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with anyone for their marketing.
- Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Tell us on any call to stop calling.
- Arizona law gives you the right to see and correct the insurance information we hold about you.
1Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Insurely LLC (“Insurely,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information. Insurely is an independent insurance agency licensed by the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (agency license #XXXXXXX), located at 510 N 7th Ave, Tucson, Arizona 85705.
This policy applies to information we collect through myinsurely.com and its pages and forms (the “Site”), and when you call us, text us, email us, or work with one of our agents. By using the Site or giving us your information, you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.
We are an insurance agency, not an insurance company. When you buy a policy, the insurance company that issues it has its own privacy notice, which also applies to your information.
2Information we collect
What we collect depends on the coverage you ask about. Most of it comes straight from you.
| Category | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, phone number (including mobile), email, mailing or property address, ZIP code | You |
| Quote and underwriting details | Date of birth, gender, drivers and vehicles, driving record, current insurer and how long you’ve been insured, home details (year built, square footage, roof, features, value), business details (industry, employees, revenue), life-insurance details such as beneficiary | You |
| Consumer reports | Motor vehicle records, claims history (such as CLUE reports), and credit-based insurance scores, where permitted by law | Insurance companies and consumer reporting agencies, as allowed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Arizona law |
| Policy and service records | Policies you buy through us, coverage and billing information, claims you ask us to help with, notes from our conversations | You, insurance companies |
| Communications | Emails, text messages, and call records, including recordings of calls where we tell you the call may be recorded | You, our phone and texting providers |
| Consent records | Whether, when, and how you agreed to receive calls or texts, and any opt-out requests | You, our systems |
| Device and usage data | IP address, browser and device type, pages you visit, the page you came from, and the date and time of your visit | Your browser, cookies and similar tools (see Section 7) |
Please don’t send us Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, or health information by text message or through our website forms. If we need sensitive information to complete an application, we’ll tell you a secure way to provide it.
3How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Prepare insurance quotes and compare options from the insurance companies we work with;
- Contact you about your quote request by phone or email, and by text only if you’ve opted in to texts;
- Help you apply for, buy, renew, change, or cancel coverage, and help with claims;
- Send service messages such as appointment confirmations, document requests, and renewal or payment reminders;
- Send marketing texts only with your separate consent, and other marketing only as the law allows — always with a way to opt out;
- Keep records of your consent and opt-out choices and honor them;
- Run, secure, and improve the Site and our services, and prevent fraud;
- Meet our legal, regulatory, licensing, and record-keeping obligations as an Arizona insurance agency.
5Text messaging (SMS) and mobile privacy
If you agree to receive text messages from Insurely, we collect your mobile number, your consent (including the date, time, and method), and the messages we exchange. We use this only to send you the messages you signed up for and to keep records of your consent and opt-out choices. Full program details, including how to opt in and out, are in our SMS Terms.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the service providers (such as our text-messaging platform) that deliver messages on our behalf. Every other sharing category in this policy excludes text-messaging opt-in data and consent.
Your consent to receive texts from Insurely applies to Insurely only. It cannot be transferred to, sold to, or used by any other business.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
6Phone calls and call recording
When you give us your phone number and ask us to contact you, we may call you about your request. Calls to and from Insurely may be monitored or recorded for quality, training, and record-keeping.
We keep an internal do-not-call list. If you ask us not to call you, we add your number to that list and stop sales calls. The ways you can tell us, and how quickly we act, are described in the Calls section of our Terms.
8Your Arizona insurance privacy rights
If you are an Arizona resident seeking or holding insurance primarily for personal, family, or household purposes, the Arizona Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act (A.R.S. § 20-2101 et seq.) gives you these rights:
- Access (A.R.S. § 20-2108). Send us a written request with proper identification, and within 30 business days of receiving it we will tell you what recorded personal information we hold about you, let you see or get a copy of it, and identify anyone we disclosed it to in the prior two years. We may charge a reasonable fee for copies. This right does not cover information collected in connection with, or in reasonable anticipation of, a claim or a civil or criminal proceeding.
- Correction, amendment, or deletion (A.R.S. § 20-2109). Send us a written request, and within 30 business days we will either make the change or tell you why we won’t. If we refuse, you may file a statement explaining why you disagree, and we will include it with your file and share it as the law requires.
- Reasons for an adverse underwriting decision (A.R.S. § 20-2110). If you are declined, charged more, or offered less coverage based on personal information, the insurance company or producer responsible must give you the reasons, or tell you how to request them in writing.
- Limits on disclosure (A.R.S. § 20-2113). We do not disclose your insurance information without your authorization except as the law permits.
Send access or correction requests by mail to Insurely LLC, Attn: Privacy, 510 N 7th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705, or by email to frank@myinsurely.com. When you buy a policy, you will also receive the insurance company’s own privacy notice, as required by state law and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
9Your choices and how to opt out
- Texts: Reply STOP to any message from us. You’ll get one confirmation and no further texts unless you opt in again. You can also tell us by phone or email.
- Calls: Tell the agent on any call, call us at (520) 355-3200, or email us, and we’ll add your number to our internal do-not-call list.
- Email: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us.
- Cookies and ads: See Section 7.
Replying STOP stops all text messages from us. Opting out of marketing does not stop notices we are required to send about a policy you have with us; after a STOP, those notices will come by mail or email.
10How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections on the Site, limiting access to people who need it, and requiring our service providers to protect it. No website or transmission is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Arizona’s data-breach law (A.R.S. § 18-552) — generally within 45 days after we determine a breach occurred — and will notify the Arizona Attorney General and consumer reporting agencies when the law requires it.
11How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services and as long as insurance record-keeping laws and regulations require us to. Consent and opt-out records are kept long enough to prove your choices and honor them. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it securely.
12Children’s privacy
The Site is meant for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Information about minor drivers or dependents on a family policy is collected only from a parent or guardian.
13Links to other websites
The Site may link to insurance company websites and other sites we don’t control. Their own privacy policies apply, and we aren’t responsible for their practices.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we’ll give notice as required by law. We will never use a policy change to share your text-messaging consent or mobile number for marketing.
